Alberta Innovates - Land and Biodiversity
The aim of this program is to ensure the sustainability of natural resource development operations and practices. This program includes sub-programs related to environmental monitoring, oil sands tailings remediation and restoration, climate adaptation, and a new initiative on abandoned well reclamation.

How Much Funding?
Typically 25%-50%, to a maximum of $2M

Who Qualifies?
Alberta
- Academic researchers, innovators, SMEs, large companies, and consortia seeking funding, expertise and/or sector leadership to advance related knowledge and technology
(for commercial/industrial use)
- Not required to be based in Alberta, but must demonstrate a clear value proposition for Alberta
