ECO Canada Student Work Placement Program

This program is a part of Government of Canada’s Student Work Placement Program (SWAPP), that is specific to the positions in the environmental sector and students in a STEM, arts, or business program.

How Much Funding?

Up to 50% of wages, to a max of $5,000. For students in under-represented groups: up to 70% to a maximum of $7000

WHO QUALIFIES?

– Registered, Canadian business or not-for-profit
– May be located anywhere in Canada
– Must operate in environmental sector

Eligible Activities & Expenditures

Hiring a current Canadian student, who studies STEM and Business, for a 6-16 week work term.

Wages of students that are being hired in a net new position that includes a Digital or Technology component and uses technology in some capacity.
