With innovation being the heart of growth in any industry, there is a need for constant evolution of products. With evolution comes the need to test and build prototypes, a process that Innovation, Science, and Economic Development Canada is working to support with the Innovation Solutions Canada Program.
The government of Canada is providing companies with funding for prototype development to help companies who want to innovate, create, and go to market. The programs will have two separate streams of funding available: military and standard. Companies are eligible to apply to either stream for the program they are eligible for.
There are currently several programs open under these conditions, each program has varying requirements and deadlines.
Type of Funding available
Greening Government: Call for prototypes
This is a contract funding program. The program will offer up to $550,000 to companies to help with creating a standard component for the program. The program will offer up to $1,150,000 for the military component of the program.
