Canada Summer Jobs is an initiative of the Youth Employment and Skills Strategy, which aims to help all young Canadians develop the skills and gain paid work experience to successfully transition into the labour market.

What Is Canada Summer Jobs?

The Canada Summer Jobs program, initiated by the Government of Canada, offers funding to employers to create summer job opportunities for students, enabling them to acquire work experience, develop skills, and earn income during their summer break. It encompasses diverse sectors, including retail, tourism, agriculture, healthcare, and more, and is open to not-for-profit organizations, public-sector employers, and small businesses.

How Much Funding?

Up to 75% for private sectors. Up to 50% for public sectors

WHO QUALIFIES?

– Provide full-time or part-time work experience in Canada for a minimum of six weeks;
– Provide a work experience in an inclusive non-discriminatory work environment that respects the rights of all Canadians;
– Support skills acquisition and development
