Advanced Manufacturing Supercluster - Pilot Project Program (NGen)

NGen’s goal is to strengthen collaboration between manufacturers and technology companies to accelerate the development, adoption and scale-up of transformative capabilities in Canadian manufacturing. This program focuses on helping small- or medium-sized businesses scale-up plans for implementation, prepare technologies for production, and de-risk technology adoption.

How Much Funding?

- Up to 50%, to a maximum of $250,000
- Total project value should be $100,000-$500,000

Who Qualifies?

Canada-wide
- Any SME (less than 500 full-time employees) incorporated in Canada
- Must be a member of the Advanced Manufacturing Supercluster (membership is free)
- Projects must include at least two partnering SMEs
- International organizations can participate as partners but their work will not be eligible for funding

Eligible Activities & Expenditures

Developing technical capability, project management capacity, market knowledge and understanding of potential impact on Canadian Advanced Manufacturing ecosystem

Projects must involve advanced manufacturing and include one of the following:
- IP commercialization strategy development
- Business case development
- Technical program development
- Risk mitigation planning
- Technology development
- Manufacturing process development
- Manufacturing process scale up from bench-scale toward full-scale
