The Alberta Innovates – Export Readiness Micro-Voucher Program is a government-funded program that provides financial assistance to Alberta small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) that are looking to expand into new international markets. The program offers up to $20,000 in funding to help SMEs develop an export plan or market entry strategy.

Alberta Innovates – Export Readiness Micro-Voucher Overview

The Alberta Innovates – Export Readiness Micro-Voucher Program provides funding to SMEs to hire a qualified service provider to help them develop an export strategy or market entry plan. The program also provides guidance and training to help SMEs overcome the challenges of entering new markets. Since its inception, the program has helped over 1,000 SMEs export their products and services to new markets.

How Much Funding?

Up to $10,000; Applicant pays a minimum of 25%.

WHO QUALIFIES?

– For profit SMEs with minimum profits of $20,000

– Have no more then one previous Export Readiness Micro-Voucher

Eligible Activities & Expenditures

Eligible activities will help expand export activities. This includes:

– Market entrance plan

– International marketing plan

– Business service and advice

– Research on export markets
