CAP Canadian Agricultural Strategic Priorities Program (CASPP)

This program supports projects that address emerging issues in the agricultural industry and capitalize on opportunities.

What Is CAP Canadian Agricultural Strategic Priorities Program (CASPP)?

The Canadian Agricultural Strategic Priorities Program (CASPP) is a program that supports the Canadian agricultural sector’s participation in the Government of Canada’s growth and policy objectives. It does this by investing in the sector’s design, development and implementation of tools and strategies to respond to and seize opportunities created by these objectives.

The objective of the CASPP is to provide funds for projects that address national or sector-wide priorities that help industry address emerging issues and capitalize on opportunities. To be eligible for funding, applicants must clearly demonstrate the issue that is facing the Canadian agriculture, agri-food and agri-products sector, how the project results will benefit the sector, and how the project aligns with one or more of the four priority areas identified: adaptation to new technology, environmental sustainability, strategic planning and capacity building, and emerging issues.

CAP Canadian Agricultural Strategic Priorities Program (CASPP) Overview
