ICTC’s WIL Digital program connects students and recent graduates with work-integrated learning opportunities in the digital sector, bridging the gap between education and employment. By facilitating partnerships and placements, it enables students to gain practical experience and develop skills, while supporting the growth of a skilled workforce in the digital industry.

ICTC’s WIL Digital Overview

The ICTC’s WIL Digital program is crucial in addressing the demand for digital skills by connecting students and graduates with work-integrated learning opportunities. This enhances their employability and prepares them for successful careers in the digital industry. Additionally, the program positively impacts employers by meeting their talent requirements, allowing them to engage with skilled students, drive innovation, and remain competitive. By fostering connections between educational institutions and industry needs, promoting skills development, and driving economic growth, the program plays a vital role in building a resilient and future-ready digital workforce.

How Much Funding?

Up to 50% of wages, to a max of $5,000. For students in under-represented groups: up to 70% to a maximum of $7000

WHO QUALIFIES?

– Registered, Canadian business or not-for-profit
– May be located anywhere in Canada, and may operate in any industry sector.

Eligible Activities & Expenditures

– Hiring domestic student in a recognized post-secondary institution

– Student hires applicable for this program need to work in a position that includes a Digital or Technology component and uses technology in some capacity.

Wages of students that are being hired in a net new position that includes a Digital or Technology component and uses technology in some capacity.
