Accelerating Agricultural Innovation: 

  • Projects fostering sector-wide advancements 
  • Funding up to 100% of costs, with a maximum of $60,000 
  • Supporting individual farmers or farmer groups with up to 50% of costs or a maximum of $30,000 

Innovative Technology and Demonstration: 

  • Backing early adopters of new technologies, with funding up to 30% of costs or a maximum of $25,000 per year 
  • Supporting investments in technical innovations on farms, with the same funding parameters 
  • Facilitating demonstration trials to enhance technology transfer, covering up to 100% of costs or a maximum of $7,500 

Eligible Participants and Projects: Encouraging Diversity 

This initiative casts a wide net, inviting participation from diverse entities such as agri-businesses, individual or group agriculture producers, academic institutions, Indigenous People or Organizations, and other capable individuals or groups. The scope of eligible projects encompasses innovative research and development, accelerating agricultural innovation, and pioneering technology and demonstration trials. 

Deadline: Act Now for a Sustainable Future 

Applications are being accepted on a rolling basis, underscoring the urgency of seizing this opportunity. The window closes on March 31, 2023, or when the funds are fully allocated.
